2019-08-27: Summer Update
After a private reading of Acts 1 & 2 in July, Gayle and Chris are busy taking on more rewrites! Updates to come!
2019-05-30: Pre-Summer Update
We are excited to have Paul Angelo on board as director and collaborator!
Gayle has been hard at work incorporating changes to act one and writing act two!
We will have a private reading in early July to gather feedback on the progress.
We have our dates for Fertile Ground 2020:
Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 7:30 PM
Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 7:30 PM
Lakewood Center for the Arts
2019-02-13: Post Reading
We just completed three "readings/singings" of act one for Fertile Ground.
Based on 180 anonymous surveys, we will spend the first half of this year revising act one and creating act two.
We will have an invite-only "reading" of both acts sometime in June/July. This will mainly be to tighten the story and plot.
We'll then spend the last half of the year tightening up everything for Fertile Ground 2020.
Our goal for all of this would be to land interest from a local (or Pacific NW or beyond) theatre to produce the world premiere in early 2021. That would give us another year to tighten it even more.
2019-01-27: Opening performance of the reading of act one.
