4th Rehearsal Feedback and more...

Nice job last night everyone. It's great to have Kelley on board to add a third pair of eyes to the project. We're excited how this is taking shape!

We want to remind everyone of the remaining dates again:

  • Sat, Jan 19, 12:00-2:00 pm (Chris' house)

  • Wed, Jan 23, 7:30-9:30 pm (Chris' house) First night with cellist

  • Fri, Jan 25, 7:00-9:30 pm (Dress rehearsal) (ReSound)

  • Sun, Jan 27, 12:30-3:30 pm (Performance) (ReSound)

  • Tue, Jan 29, 6:30-9:00 pm (Performance) (ReSound)

  • Sat, Feb 2, 12-1:30 pm (Pick-up rehearsal) (Chris' house)

  • Sun, Feb 3, 1:00-3:30 pm (Performance) (ReSound) NOTE: it's 7:00 for dress rehearsal on 12/25, NOT 7:30!

Chris' Notes

  • "Days Away from Y2K": on the line "cutting through years", make sure to pronounce the word "cutting" with "T" sounds, not "D" sounds. Last night it sounded like "cudding".

  • bottom of page 29: change the NARRATOR line: "Heather puts her arm around..." to a parenthetical. We don't need the NARRATOR to say it, rather HEATHER actually does it.

  • page 37: change VICKY's first two singing lines to be "BOTH"

We want to reiterate that from here on out, your dialog projection levels in rehearsals and performances should be as if you are talking to someone 50 feet away—even in the quieter moments, we need to make sure we're projecting. Kelley will tell you if you are too loud, but like she said, better to have the option to take it back a little rather than not being heard at all.

Thanks, and see everyone Saturday at noon!

Feedback, Getting Paid, Last Performance!

Two down, one to go! After speaking with Kelley, the main thing we want to go over in warm-ups is working on, and being mindful of, pace. Kelley will speak more about it on Sunday, but basically we ne
